OSS Training in the National Parks

The National Park Service has posted on its website an extensive report entitled, “OSS Training in the National Parks and Service Abroad in World War II,” prepared for the Park Service by John Whiteclay Chambers II, professor of history at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey. The typescript report runs more than 600 pages of text, footnotes and bibliography, plus nearly 90 pages of illustrations.

For a book for a wider audience, Professor Chambers is now preparing an shorter, revised, and updated study for possible publication by Rutgers University Press in 2009.

The National Park Service report is located on the NPS website.
