OSS Training in the National Parks

The National Park Service has posted on its
website an extensive report entitled, “OSS
Training in the National Parks and Service Abroad
in World War II,” prepared for the Park Service
by John Whiteclay Chambers II, professor of
history at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New
Jersey. The typescript report runs more than 600
pages of text, footnotes and bibliography, plus
nearly 90 pages of illustrations.
For a book for a wider audience, Professor Chambers is now preparing an shorter, revised, and updated study for possible publication by Rutgers University Press in 2009.
